This is a comprehensive one-year program that includes the subjects taught in audio engineering schools, recording schools and music production schools. Our intensive hands-on and theory training in music recording, audio engineering, live sound, sound engineering, and digital audio work stations is taught in the classroom and in our state-of-the-art recording studios. New music, beats, breaks, grooves, loops, sampling, and electronic music are all explored. Record production, Pro Tools , Reason, Logic and other audio engineering software, audio for video, live sound reinforcement, songwriting, recording studio design and an audio engineering practicum are among the many opportunities offered. Audio Engineering & Production is a one-year, three-semester program that is a combination of classroom, hands-on instruction, location classes and guest speakers. The program includes 12 courses that are modular in design, with four courses taught per semester. Students may take advantage of 1500 hours of computer lab time, in addition to reserved 24/7 studio time, over and above their regular class hours. Students also have the option of applying for an internship at Blue Wave Studios.
